May 4, 2018

Meghan "Doc" Seuss and Chloe "Thunder" Tratar, lead the Bulldogs to a 7-3 victory in Wheaton against a good Wildcats team.  Tratar started in the circle for the Bulldogs and went three innings holding the Wildcats to 1 run on 2 hits, striking out three.  Seuss came on in relief in the 4th inning and continued the strong showing allowing only 2 runs with 5 strikeouts.  Syd "Vicious" Schmitz came on in the seventh to seal the deal for the 2nd consecutive game throwing only 6 pitches in the 7th inning to retire the side.  The Bulldog pitching staff is off to a great start with 27 strikeouts and a team ERA of 1.57 in their first three games.

The Bulldogs and Wildcats traded runs in the first inning, then the Bulldogs pulled away for good when Renee "Renado" Randles hit a single scoring Syd "Vicious" Schmitz.  Katie "Duck" Schroeder continued her blistering start at the plate going 2-for-3 with a double and three stolen bases while scoring twice.  "Doc" Seuss, "Squirrel" Reynolds, and "Izzy Pop" Jonas all had RBI's.  The Bulldogs improve to 2-1 on the season  and will play 4 games this weekend at a Round Robin Tournament in St. Charles.
