The Batavia Park District is proud to host the first Batavia Travel Softball Showcase night with the specific goal to promote competitive fastpitch softball for all ages in Batavia.
In it's 5th year, Batavia Travel Softball has enjoyed steady growth. During tryouts last summer, BTS had the greatest attendance ever, with player interest from the Tri-cities and four counties in northern Illinois. Throughout the 2017-2018 season all of our girls have worked extremely hard to improve their skills and come together as a team. During the off season, pitchers and catchers attended indoor team clinics and individual lessons. Hitting instruction was added to the program in 2018, and full team practices ran from December through March at top notch facilities located at Batavia High School’s Field House and turf field.
The future of the BTS program relies on parent and public support, with the goal to provide a positive athletic experience for girls to play a game that can last a lifetime. Our focus as a travel softball organization is to provide positive yet stimulating competitive softball to help players improve, grow and learn to love the game. There is a considerable commitment to play travel ball, but the BTS mission is provide a healthy and encouraging environment, and allow players to achieve their goals to play at the next level.
The girls on the 14U and 12U team are all very excited to show off their skills and maybe inspire some of their younger girls to try out this July and August for the 2018-2019 Batavia Travel Softball program, which will expand to have a 12U, 14U and 16U team.
